25 Facts of the Day

I’m not the type to have “birthday month” or “birthday week,” but this morning I realized as today is the 15^th, my birthday is 15 days away!  So as a fun thing to think about as my 25^th birthday approaches, (and a way to procrastinate a little) I am going to come up with a list of 25 things you may not know about me.  So here it is: 

1.       I am scared of Edward Scissorhands and the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.  I can’t even look at the cover of the Edward S. movie without being creeped out.  Scarred for life in 4^th grade.

2.       I have a ridiculous fear of nubs.

3.       I like to chew on straws.  I’m chewing on one right now.

4.       If given the choice at a concert or sporting event I’d rather pay for a large cup of ice than have a bottle of water.

5.       I usually don’t like to wear rings/bracelets/watches when I eat.

6.       I hate lip gloss.

7.       I like to play with tape.

8.       My hands are constantly cold when I paint my fingernails.

9.       I like scars.

10.   I don’t like to read instructions – except when playing a new board game with a large group of friends—I’d rather read the rules than listen to someone else read them.

11.   I’m one of the most forgiving people you’ll ever meet.  I put a lot of faith in people.  Don’t take advantage of that. :)
12.   I used to cry when my mom wanted to go to Wal-Mart.

13.   I can hear dog whistles.

14.   I don’t eat a lot on holidays because I HATE being full.  I also don’t like turkey.

15.   I rarely watch the news and never read the newspaper.

16.   I love food that has been burned.

17.   I chose my major in college based off of a movie.

18.   I am sometimes inconsistent.  I get fun ideas for a craft, blog, get together, and then change my mind or don’t finish it. (in case you haven’t noticed... I gave up on my picture every day for a year blog idea.)

19.   I like to cuddle.

20.   I have a thing with not wanting to put a picture of the person I’m dating in a frame.  Every time I do it is always a week or two before it doesn’t work out.  I joke about it, but it really is the same time frame every time!

21.   I snore when I nap or fall asleep accidentally.

22.   I’m more open and honest when I’m really sleepy.

23.   I think black kids are the cutest kids.

24.   I would wear a dress every day if I could.

25.   I don’t wear foundation or powder make up and I don’t know if I ever will.

So there you have it.  25 things about me.  I can’t believe I’m about to be 25.  It seriously feels like yesterday I was 17.  I know I’m not old enough to say things like that... but it really is crazy!  Sometimes I think I have the heart of that 17 year old and the life appreciation of a 5 year old.  I think that equals a pretty awesome 25 year old and I can’t complain about that.  Life has ups and downs but I see a lot of potential in my next 25 years if I’m blessed with them.  Hmm... as I sit here I am already brainstorming another “25” post to come in the next few days.  I think it will be called Top 25.  (Oh, and something to add to my list—but you probably already know it—I’m a huge dork. :) )
