An awkward moment for your amusement

2 Facts:

1.  I get myself into the most awkward situations.

2.  I have a small  large obsession with Ryan Gosling and a large small obession with Steve Carell.

So let's talk about this.  Sunday I watched Crazy Stupid Love and had Bojangles french fries (another fact: I LOVE Bojangles french fries).  Give or take a few stupid parts (the stupid of crazy stupid love), it's a pretty funny and overall great movie.

If you haven't seen the movie... Steve Carell's character's wife cheated on him and wants a divorce.  He sits in the bar and complains about it constantly until Ryan Gosling's character takes it upon himself to make this guy over, change up his style and make him cool (think She's All That).  The two meet up at the mall (Steve's character with velcro wallet in hand) for a What Not To Wear style day... and THIS is how it starts off.

For those of you too lazy to click on the link... Ryan's character makes fun of the other guy's "New Balance 407s" and throws them over the balcony telling him he absolutely cannot wear those shoes.

Here is the awkward factor:

I noticed a co-worker wearing those this morning... and shared the clip with two other co-workers, hoping to share a laugh and see if they caught my reference.

Apparently they both wear them too.  So much for my being observant.

Then I spilled my coffee and am sure I deserve it...but Ryan Gosling is still beautiful and I think my dad has those shoes too... so it's all good.
